Calling All Nonprofits and Networking Groups: Host Your Next Mixer at Robert Hall for Free

When people walk through the doors of Robert Hall, they often notice the history through the architecture first.

Our building isn’t just one building–it is actually several that have been constructed and connected over time. My husband Will jokingly calls it a “Frankenstein” building, but I have always thought that was part of its beauty. Each renovation or addition represents another chapter, purpose, and story layered on top of the last.

It was never my intention for Robert Hall to simply be just a private event venue. From the very beginning, mine and Will’s vision was to create a gathering space where people from different backgrounds, professions, and passions could come together.

For more than four decades, we’ve owned property on N. Liberty Street, during which we’ve watched this corner of downtown Winston-Salem experience incredible highs and heartbreaking lows. From decades of urban blight to the exciting revitalization happening today, Will and I have poured our hearts and resources into helping breathe new life into what is now known as the Industry Hill neighborhood.

Nothing makes us happier than watching Robert Hall become a place where everyone feels welcome, and that’s why some of our favorite evenings are our monthly Cocktails at Capone’s nights. Over the past year, we’ve come to realize that the evenings are at their best when local nonprofits, professional associations, and networking groups simultaneously gather in The Vault downstairs, as the space welcomes both familiar faces and new connections.

To help encourage those connections, we’re offering The Vault at no charge to nonprofits and networking groups during Cocktails at Capone’s. If your organization is looking for a unique place to host a networking event, volunteer appreciation gathering, membership mixer, or community meet-and-greet, we’d love to host you.

Cocktails at Capone’s is open to the public from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on the fourth Thursday of each month. Guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails from Thirsty Buffalo, seasonal drinks, local selections, and non-alcoholic options in the warm, welcoming atmosphere of Capone’s Bar.

Remaining available Cocktails at Capone’s dates for 2026:

  • August 27
  • September 24
  • October 22

The Hispanic Contractors of the Triad Association (HTCA) will be joining us for July’s date. There will be no Cocktails at Capone’s in November or December.

If your nonprofit or networking organization is interested in reserving The Vault during one of these evenings, we’d love to hear from you! Please email me at Christy@RobertHallWSNC.com to inquire.
