Behind the Scenes with Robert Hall’s Event Manager, Kristopher Walter

As Robert Hall’s Event Manager, the main objective of my role is to make sure every client’s event goes off without a hitch.

On any given day, I might be managing an event, handling behind-the-scenes logistics, coordinating with caterers and entertainers, or giving tours to prospective clients alongside Mary Elizabeth, our Sales Manager. Most days it’s something new and different, but the one consistent part of my routine is caring for the plants in The Garden and around Robert Hall, ensuring our facility stays beautiful and up to standard. 

 

 

Robert Hall’s unique layout offers versatility for a range of events and each space has its own character. Capone’s Bar exudes a speakeasy vibe, The Vault has an industrial-meets-Art-Deco aesthetic, and The Garden is where the serenity of nature meets the bustle of downtown. Together, these spaces create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere for any event. 

Since opening our doors two years ago, Robert Hall has played host to a wide variety of events. From 40th birthday celebrations, lively weddings, intimate holiday gatherings, and corporate functions, we’ve seen it all. Regardless of the reason for the event, I love working with clients and am constantly thinking about how I can help make every detail of their celebration or gathering perfect. I love seeing the joy on our clients’ faces when their events come together. The happiness and satisfaction that I help create at Robert Hall is the best part of the job.

When asked about my favorite event to date, I always mention our film days with Pawn Stars. It was one of our very first events after opening in October of 2022 and it had everything I could have dreamed of—problem solving, crowd control, movie magic, happiness, long days, and tons of teamwork. We collaborated seamlessly with the Pawn Stars production crew, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved. 

I’m truly honored to have been a part of Robert Hall since day one. The freedom and flexibility to showcase my skills in hospitality while having fun in an environment where I feel valued and appreciated is a blessing.
