Join Us for a Cookout in The Garden

We are excited to invite members to our third Robert Hall Secret Supper Society event—The Americana Cookout! 

In keeping with Fourth of July and summertime in America, we’ll be hosting an elevated cookout experience with a spirited lineup of wine, beer, and signature cocktails on Friday, July 21st.

“July brings about memories of cookouts and backyard hangouts with friends and family,” said Christy Cox Spencer, Co-Owner of Robert Hall. “The Americana Cookout theme felt like a natural fit coming off the Fourth of July holiday—I can’t think of anything more Americana than hamburgers, hot dogs, and mountain music.” 

Secret Supper Society members and their guests can expect a casual, free-flowing evening with live bluegrass music and dinner served outside in Robert Hall’s patio space, The Garden. 

“I think The Garden is the perfect backdrop for our next dinner because cookouts are meant to take place outdoors,” said Kristopher Walter, Robert Hall’s Event Manager. “This is the first event that we’ve been able to host almost exclusively outside since we opened in October of last year. This is our first summer at Robert Hall and we wanted to kick it off in true American fashion!” 

 

 

Chef Charley Smith, who was the featured chef at our inaugural Winter Cabaret dinner earlier this year, has curated another mouthwatering menu for our Society members. Guests at the Americana Cookout will enjoy:

• Stuffed jalapeño and mushroom appetizers (gluten free).
• All-beef hotdogs with the option to choose toppings like chili, slaw, Pepsi onions, bacon jam, chipotle mayo, blueberry jalapeño sauce, Gunny’s Sweet Heat sauce, relish, mustard, ketchup, mayo, mustard, and hot sauce.
• Burgers with any of the previously listed toppings, lettuce, tomato, and pimento cheese.
• Homemade chips and garden salad.
• Gunny’s homemade peach cobbler served with Bluebell vanilla ice cream for dessert.

We’re also are excited to have Hotwax & the Splinters as our entertainment for the evening. This four-man ensemble performs together around one mic. For more than twenty years they’ve graced many stages with different faces, but have stayed true to North Carolina’s unique style of bluegrass.
